HOW I CAN HELP

Find coverage that fits your life

Insurance has a talent for making simple ideas sound complicated. Hover over—or tap—any option below for a plain-English explanation, and we’ll take it from there.

01

Medicare Advantage

Compare plan features, networks, prescriptions and costs with guidance centered on your needs.

THE SHORT VERSION

Think of this as an all-in-one way to receive your Medicare benefits through a private insurance company approved by Medicare. It covers everything Original Medicare covers and often includes prescription drugs and added benefits.

GOOD TO KNOWThe tradeoff is that plans have their own provider networks, copays and rules—so the “extras” are only part of the story.

02

Medicare Supplements

Understand standardized Medigap plans and how they pair with Original Medicare.

THE SHORT VERSION

A Medicare Supplement, also called Medigap, works alongside Original Medicare. Medicare pays its share first, and the supplement helps pay certain deductibles, copays or coinsurance according to the plan letter you choose.

GOOD TO KNOWIt generally offers broad access to providers who accept Medicare, but it does not include outpatient prescription-drug coverage.

03

Part D Drug Plans

Review formularies, pharmacies and projected prescription costs before you enroll.

THE SHORT VERSION

Part D is prescription-drug coverage offered by private insurers approved by Medicare. Every plan has a formulary—a list of covered drugs—and your cost can change depending on the drug tier and pharmacy.

GOOD TO KNOWThis is where a little homework can save real money: we check your exact medications, dosages and preferred pharmacies.

04

Military Benefits

Understand how Medicare may coordinate with TRICARE For Life, VA benefits and other coverage.

THE SHORT VERSION

Military and veterans benefits do not all coordinate with Medicare the same way. TRICARE For Life generally works with Medicare Parts A and B, while VA coverage is usually used within the VA health system.

GOOD TO KNOWYou earned these benefits. The goal is to understand how they work together before adding—or giving up—other coverage.

Protection for life's other “what ifs.”

From supplemental health and life products to dental coverage, Peak Insurance can help you explore protection beyond your core Medicare benefits—without the insurance-speak.

SUPPLEMENTAL HEALTH & LIFE

✚

Hospital Indemnity

Cash benefits designed to help with eligible hospital and medical expenses that primary coverage may leave behind.

THE SHORT VERSION

This policy pays set cash benefits for covered events such as a hospital stay. The money is paid according to the policy and can help with copays or other expenses.

GOOD TO KNOWIt can be a practical companion to a Medicare Advantage plan with hospital cost-sharing.
♡

Cancer & Critical Illness

Supplemental protection that can provide benefits following a covered cancer or critical illness diagnosis.

THE SHORT VERSION

This coverage can pay cash after a qualifying diagnosis or covered treatment. It is designed to help with the financial ripple effects of a serious illness—not replace your medical insurance.

GOOD TO KNOWBenefits, waiting periods and covered conditions vary, so we read the fine print together.
◇

Life Insurance

Coverage options designed to help protect the people who depend on you financially.

THE SHORT VERSION

Life insurance pays a benefit to the people or organizations you name when the insured person dies, as long as the policy is in force and the claim is covered.

GOOD TO KNOWThe right type and amount depend on who relies on you and what you want the money to accomplish.
⌂

Final Expense

Whole life coverage that can help loved ones manage funeral costs and other final expenses.

THE SHORT VERSION

Final-expense insurance is generally a smaller whole-life policy intended to help with funeral costs, medical bills or other end-of-life expenses.

GOOD TO KNOWIt is still life insurance—just sized and designed around a more specific need.
+

Short-Term Care

Options for eligible nursing, assisted living or home health care needs after an illness or injury.

THE SHORT VERSION

Short-term care coverage can provide limited benefits for eligible nursing-facility, assisted-living or home-care services after an illness or injury.

GOOD TO KNOWThe key word is “short-term.” Benefit periods, eligibility rules and covered care depend on the policy.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Medicare questions deserve clear answers.

Every situation is different. Here are a few good places to start.

Ask me a question
When should I first enroll in Medicare?⌄

Most people become eligible around age 65. Your exact enrollment window can depend on your birthday, disability status and whether you have qualifying employer coverage. I can help identify the dates that apply to you.

Does working with an advisor cost me more?⌄

There is no added cost to you for my guidance. If you enroll through me, the insurance carrier may compensate me. Your premium is the same whether you enroll with an agent or directly with the carrier.

Can you review the plan I already have?⌄

Absolutely. An annual review can help confirm that your doctors, prescriptions, benefits and budget still fit your current plan.

Do you help veterans and military families?⌄

Yes. As a veteran, I have a special interest in helping fellow veterans understand how Medicare works alongside VA and military health benefits.
